Hi! My name is Geta Belogolovsky, I'm an award-winner multi-disciplinary illustrator/artist with more than 10Y experience. I was born in Ukrainian-Bashkir family, lived in Russia until Feb 2022, after Putin's invasion to Ukraine left Russia for Israel. Now I live in Toronto, Canada.
· I speak English, Russian, Hebrew ·
I've drawn lots of BOOKS for major Russian publishers and PHs in Germany, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, UK, USA. Some of my books were at the main national corner at the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna in 2019 amid the best examples of Russian kidlit illustrators. The books I illustrated become the ultimate BESTSELLERS through the years in all Russian-speaker countries.
· I'm really good in vivid emotions, cuteness overload, dynamics and fun in illustration ·
Making art for kids stories is my ever-lasting passion. Books or animation - I LOVE IT! I've been working with leading Russian ANIMATION companies as a CHARACTERS/PROPS/BACKGROUNDS artist and CONCEPTS artist. I can use the wide range of styles, techniques and moods or work strictly within a particular style depending on the project purposes to achieve the best possible result. Also I gained a decent experience in COMMERCIAL and ADVERTISING illustration creating amazing characters and images to very special events for very special clients, as well as in typography and layouts, even innovative package box construction.
· I'm a one-artist-orchestra ·
...but also a good team-player. I believe that good crew gets best results! I'm happy to work as an illustrator and cover artist for an oldest kids' magazine "Murzilka" and with one of the most popular kids magazines "Yozhik(The Little Hedgehog)". There are fantastic teams. As I mentioned above, for the very last years I've been working as a CHARACTER DESIGNER and a BACKGROUND ARTIST for four big animation projects at RIKI group, which is the best animation holding in Russia, well-known all over the world and consisted of incredibly great people, both talented and experienced professionals. By the way, three projects are edutainment animated series.
· I am responsible at work and life but a big child inside ·
For sure, I'm a typical kidult, who is still-and-forever in deep love with animation, fiction, fairy tales and so on. Multifandom is my 2nd name. I'm into old legends as well as the hottest news from Comic con. I am a big fan of comics (as a reader as well as an author and artist), and my comic series "Moustories" has been published monthly in a children's magazine "Yozhik" for three years.
· I am interested in many things and have a broad outlook ·
I also work as an illustrator with the famous "big" SCI-FI/FANTASY AUTHORS such as H.L. Oldie (Ukraine) and Olga Gromyko (Belarus). I'm passionate about academic facts from the world and material culture history, architecture, biology, natural sciences/technologies and history of music and literature.
· I pay attention and find the essence ·
I had brilliant teachers - highly educated profs with the huge range of knowledge, talent and style. They taught me to look deeper, to learn every day of my life, to think creatively, but critically and - the most crucial thing - to listen carefully to the author, their story and speech and to find its own, unique and special visualization.
· My illustrations are attractive, remarkable and selling ·
An episode "A Treat for a Hedgehog" (TV-series "Annie&Bennie") with the characters designed and made by me was selected as a representative project episode at an international animation festival and won an award for the warmth and charm of the characters.
The episode "Why Zebras Have Stripes" (TV series "Question Club") served as a promotional launch episode for the series (June 2024). I am the designer/artist of the characters, props and backgrounds for this episode.

I have been repeatedly chosen to design and produce images for promotional materials, souvenirs and brandbooks for TV series, and I also became the main artist for the centenary of Murzilka magazine in May 2024.
· I'm meticulous and experienced but easy-going ·
· Flexibility, the ability to take comments & improve my work - that's also me ·
I've got Master's degree (Fine Arts; Education, alumnus of VGIIK, Russia) and Bachelor degree at Psychology. Also I'm a member of The International Association of Plastic Arts of UNESCO, Israel Association of Artists and Association of Illustrators of Japan. I had been an active member of the legendary community of digital artists, Wetpaint.ru - the true cradle of a large number of the very best digital artists from Russia. I took part in a numerous exhibitions (most recently: International Festival of Book Illustration and Visual Literature (MORS), International Biennial of Illustration in Haifa'18, '22 etc).
· Now I'm ready for new projects ·
Due to my family's emigration from Russia in 2022*, I radically changed my life and ended a big episode in my artistic biography. It is time to move on and explore new horizons. Nowadays I'm looking for the new challenges and experiences in illustration and/or animation.
*My political and human position stands with people of Ukraine and against the Russian criminal power and all the tyranny all over the world.
